![]() I get it, it was meant to be tough and only for those committed, and I will get there some day. I too am A7.5 and while I have truly had a lot more fun in the game since the skelly ships and other game additions over the past couple of months, I have found that the grind to A10 has become just that, a grind. I have always thought fort hopping was lame but did it out of the necessity and desire to find other crews wanting to mix it I have to agree, and was tempted to post almost the exact same thing. That would keep crews on one server for long stretches of time and creating some epic fights. ![]() If it were up to me, I would have forts popping up every 30 min and utilizing all of the skull forts in the world. Everyone once in a while you find a nicely contested skull fort and you are reminded of the "good old days", but those occurrences seem to be far and few between. The work of getting a crew together and stocking a ship has become mundane because the action and reward is just not to be found. I have been a fan since launch and I have spent countless hours, but I now find myself with little motivation to sail. The dev team should be taking it more in that direction if they want it to go on. ![]() The voyages and levels to grind are just an excuse to get out on the open sea and mix it up with other crews. I had more fun in this game prior to the hungering deep than I have since. The attempts to add PVE attractions into the game have failed in my honest opinion. The real problem with this game and why it is fading fast is that we need more to grind on! Raise the level cap, give us a reason to sail. Speed Run, Full Run.either way was a good time on the way to 10. I mean, heck I'd be happy with forts spawning athenas randomly, theres gotta be something. The grind is just taking away from the random fun/encounters we enjoy much more. Some have said 280hours is what it takes, we average 1.5/2 hrs per athena.īecause the crews I play with love the gameplay we will stay but PLEASE figure out some other ways to bring this horrible grind into something more fun. Is that really what you wanted your current end game to be? (also players spam merc missions just to have that safety net of extra cages) The ONLY thing we do is the merchants to avoid losing crates and dealing the unbearable and crushing 5 hour contract expiration time. ![]() ![]() We leave skulls behind, we leave chests behind, we finish riddles and the ship just moves on to the next map. What is a speed run exactly ? well it is the deliberate avoidance of about 90 percent of the voyage. Was your intention with athenas going to be that the majority of us need to "speed run" the voyages in order to get the main prize ? The alliances actually just grants players their Ideal level number and there skill doesn't go up at all. So much so that there are entire fleets and servers solely banging out this grind to 10. but it's just really getting to be a bit too much for casual gamers. To the rare devs, as I am at athena level 7.5 / PL, the game is still fun to pvp, do the occasional fort, etc. ![]()
